Jordin Sparks might have won the big American Idol title, but the honors for Pet Idol in Winona, Minnesota, went to a puggle named Otis!Otis won the Winona Daily News' "Pet Idol" contest.
Otis' owners, the Rotherings, get to cash in on the dog's popularity. The News explains the contest:
"As the winners of the contest, which raises money for the Winona County Humane Society, the Trempealeau County Humane Society and the Newspaper in Education program, the Rotherings received $500."
Bottom line: A great (and very cute) puggle contributed to the well-being of other animals and put 5 c-notes into the pockets of his owners! Way to go, Otis!
